Amber Hunting

Here is Rhonda looking for amber on the beach after a storm. Amber is tree sap that has been solidified by the ocean. The Russians dumped a lot of phosphorous in the Baltic which looks like Amber. The problem is when it dries the phosphorous reacts with the oxygen and starts on fire. Lots of people have been burned. Amber is made into jewelry and sold to the tourists.

When I was in Alaska I bought a piece of amber with a cool insect encased. Did you actually find any pieces of amber? I'll put amber hunting on my list of things to do when I visit.

Visit???? The tourists always fall for the fake insect in the Amber trap. There is a guy with a van putting insects in colored plastic molds for the tourists in Riga. Maybe he moved here from Alaska.

Hey! Are you telling me I'm too stupid to tell the difference between real and fake amber?!

I would never say that-I just heard the guy who sold it to you said it.
