I found this old gas mask laying on the ground. One of the bunkers pictured is the guard post. The other is an entrance to a seven story underground work area. I do not know how many Soviets worked here but it must have been around 1,000.
We visited an abandoned Soviet nuclear bunker. These are the actual silo in which the Soviets had placed nuclear weapons. We were told that these warheads were aimed at capitals in western Europe.
